Sedbergh meets Fern Hill School, Again!
Last week, we (Hanna Kim, PJ Diegel, and Beth Barber) had a great opportunity. We visited Fern Hill School in Oakville, Ontario and went to the Science @ Guelph Experience. It was so neat to see how another school works. The people at Fern Hill were very welcoming (and they even sang PJ Happy Birthday). Everyone introduced themselves to us because we were the new people...not to mention we had blue blazers, not green ones.
One of our favourite things about Fern Hill School is the assembly they have every morning. It is so nice to have the entire school all together to hear announcements, and to learn about what special events are happening in other classes and grades. The music program is great at Fern Hill! PJ got to go to choir practice before school, and Ms. Barber got to sit in on a band class.
The Science @ Guelph Experience was awesome! We got to dissect a squid, make tsunamis, build a robot, stick our hands in a cow (actually, Hanna opted out of this one), and be bird scientists. It was great. The evening events were just as fun, with a mock stock exchange and a dance.
We would like to thank everyone at Fern Hill for being so friendly and warm. They included us as though we were a part of the class. So thanks for a great experience!

That sounds very welcoming. I love interacting with other places, its like making allies. Like a United Nations but more like United Schools.
